Method

How these figures are produced

Source
Job offers published online and observed continuously by Rodz. This barometer describes observed offers, not the whole job market: one role can appear in several offers, and not every published offer is observed.
Period
Twelve complete months, October 2025 to September 2026, by publication month. Data as of 6 October 2026.
New offers and reposts
An offer is marked as a repost when it puts an already observed offer back online. Key figures use new offers (reposts excluded), which are more reliable than raw volume: some employers repost the same ad every week.
Scope
Recruitment and temp agencies are excluded, so that only companies hiring for themselves are counted. In France, the 12 regions of mainland France; elsewhere, each country’s main regions.
Functions
Read from the job title. Sales: sales rep, business developer, account executive, sales engineer, excluding in-store sales and mass retail. Marketing: marketing, growth, communications, product manager, SEO. Tech: developer, software engineer, data, DevOps, cloud. HR: human resources, recruiting, payroll. Finance: accounting, financial control, financial analysis, finance leadership, audit. A title can match more than one function.
Six-month trend
Monthly average of new offers from April to September 2026 compared with November 2025 to March 2026. October 2025, clearly higher than other months, is left out of this comparison; the raw half-on-half comparison is shown next to it.
Employers
Ranked by new offers over twelve months, sites grouped under the company name. Flagged: employers where more than one offer in two is a repost, platforms (job sites, volunteering) and schools posting apprenticeships on behalf of companies.
Sectors
Sectors of the hiring company. A company can belong to several sectors: shares do not add up to a whole.
Contracts
Labels grouped into permanent, fixed-term and temporary, apprenticeship and internship, freelance. An offer that only says "full-time" or "part-time" is classed as "not stated". Temp work weighs little here, since temp agencies are excluded.
Countries
Eight countries: France, Belgium, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Italy, with their main regions. Our coverage varies by country: compare trends, not volumes. In the European comparison, each country is turned into an index, base 100 being its own 12-month monthly average.
Titles by language
Functions are read in the country's language, on top of French and English: Vertrieb, Außendienst, Personalreferent, Buchhalter in Germany and Switzerland; ventas, comercial, contable in Spain; verkoop, accountmanager, boekhouder in the Netherlands and Belgium; vendite, commerciale, contabile in Italy. In-store sales roles are removed in each language (Verkäufer, Kassierer, dependiente, cajero, verkoper, kassamedewerker, commesso, cassiere, shop assistant, cashier...). Share of raw "sales" results removed this way: France 46%, Belgium 21%, Switzerland 25%, Spain 15%, Germany 19%, United Kingdom 22%, Netherlands 19%, Italy 29%.
Seniority
Seniority is missing from about two offers in three, so it is not used in this barometer.
