How do you have Claude watch hiring at your target accounts?

Peter Cools · Updated on · 4 min read · View as Markdown

Short answer

Connect Rodz to Claude, then ask it to create a Job Offers watchlist on your list of target accounts, filtered on the job titles that matter to you. Claude calls create_signal with the job-offers-watchlist type, adds companies with add_watched_companies and reads each new role with list_signal_leads. A lead costs 2 credits; a posting is delivered only once.

Key facts

  • A job posting at a watched account costs 2 credits per lead, plus 0.5 credit per email found.
  • By default Rodz turns at most 3 postings per company per day into leads (maxJobsPerCompanyPerDay, 1 to 100).
  • The first check of a newly added company looks back 30 days (firstRunLookbackDays, 1 to 365).
  • add_watched_companies takes up to 10,000 companies per call: names, domains or LinkedIn URLs.
Cost : 2 credits per lead (+0.5 credit per email found) Setup time : 10 min

Before you start

  • The Rodz connector added in Claude (https://api.rodz.io/mcp, see the funding rounds this month recipe).
  • Your list of target accounts: LinkedIn URLs ideally, otherwise names or domains.
  • The job titles that signal a need for what you sell (for example "Account Executive", "Sales" for a sales tool).

Steps

  1. Step 1. Copy this prompt into Claude

    Enable Rodz in the tools menu, then paste the prompt with your list. The more precise the identifiers, the better Rodz recognizes the company: a LinkedIn URL identifies a company without ambiguity, and a name works better than a domain.

    With Rodz, watch hiring at my target accounts.
    1. Create a DRAFT job-offers watchlist on these companies:
       https://www.linkedin.com/company/example-saas-1
       https://www.linkedin.com/company/example-saas-2
       Example Logistics
    2. Keep only roles whose title contains Account Executive, Sales or SDR.
    3. For each posting, find the company's sales director and their email.
    4. Limit it to 30 leads a day, then show me the configuration and the cost before activating.
  2. Step 2. Check the watchlist Claude prepares

    Claude reads the type’s fields with list_signal_types, then calls create_signal with signalType: job-offers-watchlist. Review jobTitleInclude (keywords matched anywhere in the title, ignoring case and accents), maxJobsPerCompanyPerDay and persona targeting.

    Daily volume is roughly maxJobsPerCompanyPerDay times the number of companies; the daily limit caps the total.

      }
    }
  3. Step 3. Add accounts as you go

    Just ask "Add these twenty domains to my hiring watchlist". Claude calls add_watched_companies: nothing is removed, and the answer says how many companies were added, already watched or rejected. list_watched_companies shows the list and which companies were recognized.

  4. Step 4. Activate, read new roles, adjust

    Once you agree, Claude activates the signal with update_signal. Then:

    • "Which accounts opened a sales role since Monday? As a table, with the posting link and the contact." (list_signal_leads, free);
    • "Why is the watchlist so quiet?" (get_signal_funnel, free): the funnel shows which filter removes the most.

Example payload

One lead as `list_signal_leads` returns it (fictitious data, persona targeting off: `contact` empty).

Three uses

  1. Target accounts: an account opening a role in the team you sell to has a need and a budget on the move. Reach the hiring manager while the need is fresh.
  2. Existing customers: a new role in the team that uses your product often means more seats.
  3. Competitors: their postings show which teams they are building.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the regular Job Offers signal?

The Job Offers signal discovers hiring companies from filters (industry, size, location). The watchlist starts from your list: your target accounts, your customers or your competitors, and looks only at those companies.

Will I get the same posting twice?

No. A posting is delivered once; later checks only surface roles newer than the ones you already received.

What do I get without persona targeting?

One company-level lead per posting, with the job title, link and description, and contact empty. With targeting on, you receive the matching decision-makers as person leads.

How much does it cost?

2 credits per lead delivered, plus 0.5 credit per email found. Creating the watchlist, adding companies and reading leads cost nothing. The daily limit caps spend.

Can I start from a list in my CRM?

Yes, through the API: sourceType reads a connected HubSpot list or Pipedrive filter, and GET /api/v1/watchlists/sources returns the lists available. In Claude, the simplest is to paste the URLs or domains.
