The best sales trigger event tools for European companies

Funding, hiring, new executives, public tenders, new companies: 9 tools compared on the triggers they detect, the countries they cover and their public prices.

Updated by Peter Cools

The short answer

To sell to European companies from events, Rodz covers the most triggers (46 signal types: funding, hiring, job changes, European public tenders, new companies, engagement with your competitors) and delivers them with the contact into your CRM. For the Nordics, Vainu. For an EMEA contact database with signals, Cognism. For France only, Pharow, Sygnara and Decidento. US tools cover local registries and local-language press poorly.

Key facts

  • A trigger event is a dated fact at an account: a funding round, a hire, a new executive, a tender, a new company, an acquisition.
  • Rodz delivers 80,000+ qualified leads a month (July to September 2026 average) and detects 10 to 20 million job offers a month.
  • Rodz signals are already integrated by lemlist, Cargo, Bulldozer, Kalent, The Sales Engine, Overloop, Sinky and Extrovert.
  • Of the 9 tools compared, 4 are limited to one country or region (Vainu to the Nordics; Pharow, Sygnara and Decidento to France).
  • European public tenders are published in the EU Official Journal (TED) and nationally (BOAMP in France): public sources any serious tool should cover.
  • Public prices checked on October 12, 2026: from €0 (Sygnara Découverte, Leadfeeder Lite) to $40,000 a year (UserGems Core).

How we compared

Rodz publishes this page and ranks itself first: we say so up front. The ranking follows three criteria: how many triggers are covered, how many European countries are covered, and whether the trigger arrives with a contact in your tools. An agency that runs prospecting for you is not a tool, so we did not rank any.

Facts come from the vendors' public pages, read on October 12, 2026.

The triggers that matter in Europe

TriggerWhat it signalsWhere it is public
Funding roundBudget to deploy, hires to comeBusiness and tech press in each country
Job postingsInvestment in a functionNational job boards, careers pages
New executiveReview of tools and vendorsProfessional profiles, press, registries
Tender / contract awardApproved public budgetTED (EU), national portals such as BOAMP (France)
New companyEverything to equipNational business registries
Acquisition, mergerTool consolidationPress, legal notices

The hard part in Europe is not whether these facts exist but how scattered they are: one language, one registry and one press per country. A tool built for the US mostly sees rounds covered in English. For step-by-step methods on two triggers, read tracking funding rounds and finding companies that are hiring.

How to choose

  1. List your countries. An excellent national tool (Sygnara, Pharow) can be enough if you only sell in France. As soon as you target several countries, you need a tool that covers each of them.
  2. List your triggers. Two or three are enough to start. Pick the ones that come before a purchase of your product.
  3. Insist on the contact. A trigger without a decision-maker sends you hunting for the right person by hand.
  4. Check delivery. A trigger that lands in HubSpot or a lemlist campaign the same day gets used; a weekly export goes stale.

Frequently asked questions
