In short: to find companies that are hiring and prospect them, start from what they hire for. A “Head of Sales” opening announces a sales investment; ten developer openings announce a technical project. You can watch job boards by hand with alerts, or create a Rodz Job Offers signal (one matching posting, 2 credits) or Recruitment Campaign signal (a company posting many roles, 3 credits). Rodz delivers the company, the posting and the decision-maker to contact into HubSpot, lemlist or your webhook.

Key facts
- A company hiring for a function is investing in that function: that is the moment to offer the tool or service that equips it.
- Rodz detects 10 to 20 million job offers a month.
- Four signals cover hiring: Job Offers (2 credits), Recruitment Campaign (3 credits), Republished Job Offers (3 credits) and Job Offers Watchlist (2 credits).
- The decision-maker to contact (for example the head of the hiring team) is found as an option, with their email (0.5 credit, only if found).
- Native delivery to HubSpot, Pipedrive, lemlist and the other connected tools, or by webhook and API.
- Rodz signals are already integrated by lemlist, Cargo, Bulldozer, Kalent, The Sales Engine, Overloop, Sinky and Extrovert, and used by teams such as Aircall, OpenClassrooms and JobTeaser.
Why hiring is a good outbound trigger
A job posting is committed spend: an open role has been budgeted and approved. It also says where the money goes. A few ways to read it:
- A “Head of Sales” opening or several sales reps: the company is building its sales function. Prospecting tools, CRM, sales training, recruiting.
- Several developer openings: a product or technical project. Developer tools, technical services, infrastructure.
- A role re-posted several times: the role is hard to fill. Recruitment agencies, freelancers, outsourcing.
- Many postings at once: a growth phase. HR needs tools, and so does every new team.
The winning message talks about what the posting reveals, not the posting itself.
The three methods, compared
| Method | What you get | Effort | Indicative cost | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Job-board alerts (LinkedIn Jobs, Indeed, Welcome to the Jungle, local boards) | Postings, one by one | Daily reading, manual search for the decision-maker | Free | No deduplication, no contact, no company-size filter |
| Manual export + enrichment | A list of hiring companies | Several hours a week | Time + an enrichment tool | The list goes stale fast |
| Rodz signals (Job Offers, Recruitment Campaign) | Company + posting + decision-maker, in your CRM | 10 minutes, then automatic | 2 to 3 credits per delivered lead | Usage-based: set a daily limit |
Method 1: job-board alerts (free)
Save a search per job title on the job boards of your market and turn on alerts. It is simple and free. You get postings, not leads: you still need to find the company, its size, the right person and their email, then type it all into your CRM. The same posting appears on several sites, so you also have to deduplicate.
Method 2: the exported list
Some teams export postings every week, then enrich the list. That works for a one-off campaign. For a continuous flow, the list goes stale as soon as it is exported, while a posting is worth most in the days after it goes live.
Method 3: a signal that delivers the company and the decision-maker
You describe the postings that matter to you once. Every new posting (or every company hiring in volume) lands in your CRM or sequence with the person to call.
Set up the signal in Rodz (no code)
- Create an account at app.rodz.io (100 free credits at sign-up).
- Open the Signal Library and pick:
- Job Offers to get every posting that matches your keywords;
- Recruitment Campaign to keep only companies posting many roles (for example 10 or more over the period);
- Job Offers Watchlist to follow the postings of a list of accounts you import.
- Describe the postings: words to include and exclude in the title (for example include “Sales”, exclude “Intern”), words in the description, location (empty = worldwide), posting age (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days).
- Filter the companies: size, excluded industries, websites to exclude (your customers, your competitors).
- Turn on persona targeting to receive the decision-maker: for example the sales director for a sales opening, the HR director for a hiring push. Set the maximum number of contacts per company.
- Set the daily lead limit in Basic Settings and turn on email (0.5 credit, only if found).
- Choose the destination in the Integrations tab, then activate.
What it costs
- Job Offers: 2 credits per delivered lead, 2.5 with email. At the €0.10 base rate per credit: €0.25 per lead with email.
- Recruitment Campaign: 3 credits per delivered company (one lead per company, not one per posting).
- Postings that fail your filters are not charged, and credits never expire.
Push hiring companies into HubSpot
- Connect HubSpot once in Integrations (OAuth).
- Turn HubSpot on in the signal’s Integrations tab.
- With persona targeting, the decision-maker is created or updated as a contact with their company. Without it, the company is created or updated on its own, with a note describing the posting (title, location, link).
Push hiring companies into lemlist
- Connect lemlist in Integrations with your lemlist API key.
- Turn on persona targeting and email: lemlist needs a person with an address.
- Pick the lemlist campaign in the signal’s Integrations tab.
In the sequence, use the job title being hired as the opener: “I saw you’re hiring a Head of Sales, that’s usually when…”.
The API way
Authentication: an API key (app: Integrations → API) in an Authorization: Bearer header. Reference: api.rodz.io/docs.
1. A specific posting: POST /api/v1/signals/job-offers
curl -X POST https://api.rodz.io/api/v1/signals/job-offers \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $RODZ_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"name": "SMBs hiring a sales leader",
"status": "active",
"dailyLeadLimit": 40,
"config": {
"jobTitleInclude": ["Head of Sales", "Sales Manager", "VP Sales"],
"jobTitleExclude": ["Intern", "Internship"],
"locations": ["United Kingdom", "Germany"],
"publishedDate": "7d",
"companySizeFilters": ["11-50", "51-200"],
"enablePersonaTargeting": true,
"targetPersonas": ["CEO", "Sales Director"],
"maxLeadsPerCompany": 1,
"getEmails": true
}
}'
2. Companies hiring in volume: POST /api/v1/signals/recruitment-campaign
Same logic, with minJobCount (for example 10) and optionally maxJobCount. This is a company-level signal: one lead per company that reaches the threshold.
3. Route and read leads
PATCH /api/v1/signals/{signalId} with "destinations": {"hubspot": {"enabled": true}, "lemlist": {"campaignId": "..."}} sends leads to HubSpot and lemlist (connect lemlist with PUT /api/v1/integrations/lemlist). GET /api/v1/signals/{signalId}/leads re-reads delivered leads for free.
Each delivered posting contains a signal block (the posting’s URL, title, description, location and publication date, matched keywords), a company block (name, website, LinkedIn URL, industry, headcount) and a contact when persona targeting is on.
Limits to know
- With no location, the search is worldwide. Always add a country if your market is local, and size the daily limit.
- A posting is not a company. With Job Offers, a company with five matching postings can produce five leads. For one lead per company, use Recruitment Campaign, or cap contacts per company.
- Exclude recruitment and staffing agencies if you do not target them: they post many roles on behalf of their clients.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find companies that are hiring in my market?
Create a Job Offers signal with the job titles that reveal a need for what you sell, filter by country, size and industry, and turn on persona targeting to receive the decision-maker. Every new posting lands in your CRM with the company and the contact.
What is the difference between Job Offers and Recruitment Campaign?
Job Offers delivers every posting that matches your keywords (2 credits per lead). Recruitment Campaign only delivers companies that post at least the number of roles you set over the period, with one lead per company (3 credits).
Can I get the recruiter’s or the hiring manager’s contact?
Yes, with persona targeting: you pick the roles to contact (for example “HR Director” or “Sales Director”) and the maximum number of contacts per company. Email is optional and charged only if found.
Are job postings outside France covered?
Yes. Location takes countries and cities, and an empty location searches worldwide.
How soon after a posting should I reach out?
In the first days. The posting says the need is approved now, and the decision-maker is still choosing how to meet it.
